Banner drawing

Looking to add together a fancy title to a affiche or cartoon? A banner can add together some instant way and are non that hard to draw, once you have tried out a few.

This tutorial shows how to draw three different kinds of banners, starting with the easiest and then getting a little fancier. The process is pretty much the same for each. If students start with the main section, and so add matching ends, and and then connect the two, they'll take a dainty and symmetrical shape that is ready to get filled with their messages.

  • Eraser. Large ones you tin agree in your hand do a much better chore than simply the pencil tips.
  • Black Sharpie Mark. These fine signal permanent marking pens brand nice black outlines, have a good tip for coloring, and never bleed when they get wet. Employ them with skillful ventilation and add actress paper underneath to protect your tables.
  • Prang Crayons. These are a bit softer than other crayons so they sometimes look similar oil pastels. They also have a some nice dark-brown shades that Crayola does non have unless you lot buy their larger boxes.
  • Crayola Crayons. The reliable brand that ever works well. The 24 pack has some of my favorite golden orange and yellow colors that seem a bit richer and warmer than the ones Prang has.

Time needed:25 minutes.
